About Gaia Project

This post's average rating is: 5

Expand, research, upgrade, and settle the galaxy with one of 14 factions.

Gaia Project is the follow-up to the critically acclaimed Terra Mystica! 14 different factions live on 7 different kinds of planets, and each faction can only thrive on their specific type of planet. To develop and grow, a faction must terraform neighboring planets into their home environments while competing with the other factions. Special Gaia planets can be used by all factions and rare Transdimensional planets can be changed into Gaia planets!

All factions can improve their skills in 6 unique areas of development which leads to advanced technology and special bonuses! To help out, each faction has its own unique special skills and abilities.

A challenging solo experience is also included in Gaia Project!

While initially massively shocking to see no written reviews on this site for this game, I’ve come to the conclusion that writing a short review that fully expresses the depth of its systems is impossible, hence the many video reviews. Just about anything that can be stated about Terra Mystica apply here, but the production quality is further improved. The separation of the technology from the tracks and the addition of more tracks and specializations for the tracks makes the race for those top positions more tense and tactical. Space feels cramped in some ways and entirely too large in others. The balance of resources and timing and accounting for the whims of your opponents is masterful, which it inherits from Terra Mystica, sure, but here we get little, green, translucent cubes and plastic buildings and spaceships and we still have magic bowls and they make so sense now but I still enjoy them and yeah it’s pretty good 5 stars.
